Golden Designs Gargellen 5-Person Hybrid Outdoor Sauna | Flat Roof

The Golden Designs Gargellen GDI-8025-01 is a 5-person hybrid outdoor sauna that gives families and serious wellness enthusiasts a genuine choice every session: full-heat traditional steam from a Harvia 8 kW wall stove, or a layered PureTech™ full spectrum infrared session combining near, mid, and far wavelengths. Built for permanent outdoor installation with a flat roof modern design and all-weather Canadian Hemlock exterior, it's one of the most capable 5-person outdoor sauna structures available for residential use.

The traditional stove experience is the original. The Harvia 8 kW wall stove with built-in controls brings the cabin to a classic Finnish sauna temperature range of 170–185°F, with a maximum of 190°F. That's the intense, steam-driven heat that opens pores, drives heavy sweating, and delivers the full-body physical release that has defined sauna culture for centuries. Add water to the heated rocks for löyly — the burst of steam that defines traditional sauna — and the experience becomes something no infrared system can replicate. For families who grew up with traditional sauna culture, the Harvia stove is the reason to choose a hybrid over a standalone infrared cabin.

The infrared system operates at an entirely different register. 10 total emitters — 4 PureTech™ Near Zero EMF FAR infrared carbon panels and 6 Near infrared heating elements — deliver all three infrared wavelengths simultaneously at 118–132°F. FAR infrared is the longest of the three wavelengths and does most of the heating. Near infrared is the shortest and is absorbed closest to the skin. Together they deliver a gentle, complete infrared session ideal for recovery days, longer stays, and users who want the therapeutic benefits of infrared without the intensity of the traditional stove. The two modes do not operate simultaneously — you select one per session.

The Gargellen's 74.2" × 53.2" × 78" interior is genuinely spacious for five people, with enough room for comfortable stretching and movement even when fully occupied. The natural reforested Canadian Hemlock exterior carries a clear waterproof stain — annual reapplication maintains its weather protection. The cabin features an interior chromotherapy lighting system with Red Light Therapy, an interior backrest with accent lighting, and exterior front overhang accent lighting for ambient presence after dark. The interior LED control panel with built-in FM station and Bluetooth and built-in performance speakers complete the entertainment setup. Traditional accessories — sandglass, bucket, and scoop — are included for stove sessions. Stainless steel hinges and handles throughout.

Electrical requirements are straightforward for a structure of this scale: 240V/40 AMP for both the stove and full spectrum infrared, hardwired by a licensed electrician. Plan for the dedicated circuit installation before setting your setup timeline.
