Frequently Asked Questions About Heavy Bags

What is the best weight for a heavy bag?

The ideal heavy bag weight depends on your size and training goals. A general guideline is to choose a bag that is about half your body weight. This provides enough resistance for effective training without being too difficult to move.

How do I hang a heavy bag?

Heavy bags require a sturdy hanging system. You can use a heavy bag spring, chains, and a swivel to attach the bag to a ceiling mount, a heavy bag stand, or a wall mount. Ensure the hanging point is secure and can support the weight of the bag.

What is the difference between a heavy bag and a speed bag?

A heavy bag is designed for power strikes, combinations, and conditioning, offering significant resistance. A speed bag is smaller and lighter, used to improve hand speed, rhythm, and timing by focusing on quick, repetitive strikes.

How long do heavy bags typically last?

The lifespan of a heavy bag varies depending on its construction quality, materials, and how frequently it's used. High-quality bags like the Revgear Pro Series, made with durable materials and proper care, can last for many years of intense training.

Can I use my heavy bag outdoors?

It is not recommended to use heavy bags outdoors unless they are specifically designed for outdoor use. Exposure to weather elements like rain, sun, and extreme temperatures can degrade the materials and significantly shorten the bag's lifespan.

How long will it take for my heavy bag order to ship?

All Revgear Heavy Bags are custom made. We normally expect to ship this product within 14 – 28 days.
